Hey folks! I'm back to Singapore after a one week vacation trip to Australia from 21st - 29th April.
I would say that this trip was really awesome! The sight-seeing and the food! *drool*
Grace snapped tons & tons of photos using her new DSLR that her dad bought for her. We visited Melbourne & Sydney. Basically, Kang was our tour guide for this entire trip. :D
We went to places like the Great Ocean Road, Sydney's Aquarium and also Wildlife World, as well as Ocean Manly. We also visited Melbourne's Werribee Open Range Zoo on the last day.
Above all, I would say that the best experience was still the trip to Bridge Church. That was particularly the moment when God spoke to me.
We visited Bridge Church for both Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The message brought to us was so inspiring! I was specially touched by the message sent to us during the sermon on Easter Sunday.
Before I went for this trip, I actually prayed to God to speak to me during this trip. He did!
During the service, I witnessed the baptism. Honestly speaking, it was the first time that I felt so moved by the baptism. The people who were going to be baptized treated baptism so seriously and important. I even teared when I witnessed the baptism.
In addition, the sermon also touched me. I remembered the Pastor talking about us getting a new heart, and that we should live our lives through our hearts. I then realized that I had been living my life mainly through my mind, and at that moment, I prayed for a new heart.
The entire trip was very fruitful, I must say. On the last night, Kang, Grace & I sat by the pier, looking at the calm waters and spending some individual time with God. I felt so serene and peaceful. I began thanking God for everything.
Oh ya! On the last night of our trip, we also had a very sumptuous meal! We had Japanese cuisine that cost $98 per person! *kaching* Expensive but delicious!
I remembered vividly that each time we took a bite of the food, our faces would literally lit up and our smiles would be as wide as it could get! It was that yummy! *drool*
Food food food... I would say that a lot of our money was spent on food. On our last day in Sydney, we had a full rack of lamb ribs and pork ribs for lunch! Yum!
The fish & chips that we had at Great Ocean Road was also very goooooood! The fish was so fresh!
Talking about food, we also snacked almost every night while watching a movie each night. Australia's potato chips are superb!
Anyway, a time of fun and enjoyment was soon over and we found ourselves back home in Singapore not long after. However, the feeling of fruitfulness was still within Grace & my hearts. After our Australia trip, we were so inspired to make a change to our church ministry. Well, I do pray hard that God will lead us through this. I believe that it is possible to make that change! ;D
I would also like to thank Kang, my wonderful God-brother, for forking out his time and effort to make this trip possible. Thank you Kang for also being such a caring brother~ :)
Lastly, I would like to wish my brother, Darius, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! God bless you! :D
