As Singaporeans know that the days of the Election 2011 is over, and everyone knows the final results of the election.
Well, there are some people cheering about it, while some are jeering...
Anyway to start off... It's another ironic thing! Fiducia Lee is talking about politics when she has clearly no interest in this topic!
In fact, I really do not have any interest in politics, but what triggered my interest about this election was on the day when the results were announced.
My dad pulled out a scorecard that was printed in the newspaper that day, and wanted me to help him to take down the scores when the results were announced that night.
So, I readily agreed to help him to do so.
At night, when the results were being read out, I took down the total count of votes for each contesting party on the scorecard.

It was pretty exciting to watch as the results were announced. It felt as though I was awaiting for my examination results. The anticipation was stirring within me.
Well, even though I'm not much into politics and that I was not eligible to vote for the elections this year, I still support PAP. However, I will not talk much about the reasons why I support PAP because I feel that everyone has their own reason for supporting the different parties. I just hope that Singaporeans vote because of the sake of their future instead of being rebellious or because they like or dislike a particular candidate of the party.
With regards to the results, I would say that I am both pleased and displeased at the same time. Well, I believe that Singaporeans were also pleased and displeased with the results too. Anyway, we can never be satisfied.
Firstly, I'm pretty upset that Minister George Yeo and his team was voted out of Aljunied GRC. At the beginning, I was quite indifferent about the overall results and did bother much about who won and who lost.
However as I began to read up more about Mr George Yeo, I realized that he is a very good minister who really cares for the people.

Oh well... Things happen for a reason. I do not know exactly why do the Worker's Party gain so much support, but we shall see how they can help the people of Aljunied then.
Another person that I would say that I admire is Mr Chiam See Tong. Perhaps that it was due to his poor health that had caused people to feel that he should retire soon. I'm not too certain about that.

My GRC is Bishan-Toa Payoh, and SPP was the opposition party that contested. Mr Chiam led his team for this GRC.
I do not have much to say about the winning of the PAP and the losing of SPP in my GRC, but I would want to say that I admire the effort that Mr Chiam have been putting in for the past few years.
This was a picture that I saw online, and I find it pretty interesting though.

Some people voted for the opposition because they feel that the opposition should win some seats in the parliament, so that there will be another voice. I feel that that is a good reason.
However, I hope that people did not vote purely out of rebellion or randomness.
To me, PAP has been doing a good job for the past few years. No doubt that they had made many mistakes, but you have to know something, and that is that everyone makes mistakes. One thing for sure that I know is that no matter what the government is doing, they are doing for the good of the country. I respect the PAP for their hard work and effort~
We shall see how will things go in the next five years then. I wonder how will the next election be? The next time, I will be voting~ :D
