*.* Never to Give Up *.*

Today, before I went to bathe, I was sitting down by the air-con when I observed a stream of ants crawling into various holes (which I supposed is where their nest is).

As I began to observe, I spotted this soldier ant that looked weak and shaky as it crawls. The next moment, I saw it dropped all the way to the floor with a small *thud*. After seeing that, I used a tissue, picked it up, and placed it back to it was previously. However, the soldier ant was still crawling unsteadily.

As I continue to observe the worker ants busily crawling from one hole to another, they just "sped" passed the weak soldier ant. However to my surprise, one worker ant actually stopped and started to "push" the weak soldier ant by its butt. In the actual fact, it actually helped the soldier ant to increase its speed.
When the 2 ants began to struggle up the vertical wall, the soldier ant all of the sudden lost its grip and fell. I was astounded to what happened next... When the soldier ant fell, the worker ant caught hold of its leg and supported the weight of the soldier ant (which was about 3 times its size!!!)
As the soldier ant dangled in the air with one leg being held on by the worker ant, I saw how helpless the soldier ant was. Do you know what happened next? After some time, the worker ant realized that the soldier ant could not hold on any longer, so the worker ant "threw" the soldier ant on its back and carried it up to the hole all by itself!
Whoa! I'm so amazed at how the ants work!

More importantly, I have learned something after observing the ants at work, and that is never to give up no matter how heavy the burden is. Just like the worker ant, it knew that it has a heavy burden (the soldier ant) to carry, and it had so much difficulty trying to "push" it to the hole. And even in desperate state, when the solider ant fell, the worker ant held on its grip not letting the soldier ant fall to the ground. Therefore, even in desperate states, we should not give up but to continue believing in the Almighty God for His awesome strength and power to carry us through the path. Once we've gained the strength, we will be able to carry on and overcome the trial.

I'm simply amazed at how wonderful God has worked in the lives of the people around me, and including my own life. Even though there are times that I have faced troubles and disappointments, by believing in His great love and mercy, I was able to pull through the tough times. One thing I know is that humans will disappoint us, but God will never ever disappoint us. :)

*Instead of giving up, we should learn to overcome trials in life
by believing that God can help to lift our burdens
through constant prayer and faith.*
